Regis University Volleyball Teaches Volleyball at Annunciation Catholic School
Denver, Colo.: Recently the Regis University women's volleyball team went to a local school to teach the game of volleyball to young girls. The clinic was held at Annunciation Catholic School near Denver's Historic Five Points and Cole neighborhoods.
As a part of giving back to the sport of volleyball, the team also was able to teach the game to girls of Hispanic and Sudanese immigrant families. Thirty young girls stayed after school to participate in the clinic. "It's great to see our team act as role models for younger women," states assistant coach Joel List. "Our female student-athletes had a great time teaching these girls how to play volleyball and telling them about how volleyball opened so many doors for their future. As role models they demonstrated what's it like to be confident and successful students and athletes"
