Regis Improves NCAA Tournament Status with 3-1 Victory over Colorado Mines at RMAC Tournament
Beginning the week, the Regis volleyball team was ranked ninth in the central region and was looking up to Colorado Mines in the eight spot. The Rangers knew that if they had any chance of making it to the NCAA Tournament they would have to beat the Orediggers in the first round of the RMAC Tournament. That is exactly what they did, after dropping the first set, the Rangers won the next three to exact revenge on two previous losses to Mines.

Christy Henzgen Named RMAC Freshman of the Year; Eckhardt and Howe Also Honored
Christy Henzgen has made a splash early in her career and was honored today as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Volleyball Freshman of the Year. Henzgen was also a first team selection, while senior setter Devin Eckhardt earned second team and senior outside hitter Jessica Howe was honored on the third team.

Regis Earns Fifth Seed in Upcoming RMAC Tournament; Take on Colorado Mines on Thursday
The eight-team RMAC Volleyball Tournament field has been announced and the Regis Rangers are the fifth seed. Following a 16-11 regular season, including a 11-7 RMAC record, Regis will take on Colorado Mines for the third time this season. The match will take place in Kearney, Neb. on Thursday afternoon at 4:45 (Central Time).

The Regis University volleyball team has lost four of their last five matches after they fell to #14 Metro State tonight in four sets, 21-25, 20-25, 25-23, 22-25 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action. Regis got a match-high 22 kills from fresman Christy Henzgen but it wasn't enough as Regis fell to Metro State for the first time this season.

"Rivalry Week" begins at Regis University as three teams, volleyball and men's and women's soccer do battle with cross-town rival Metro State Tuesday and Wednesday. Volleyball gets underway with Metro State Tuesday night beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Regis Fieldhouse, while the soccer teams travel to Metro to take on the Roadrunners Wednesday afternoon beginning at 1:00 p.m.
