Regis Can't Find Answer to #8 Southwest Minnesota State, Falling in Straight Sets
Sioux Falls, S.D.: The Ranger volleyball team finished the Augustana/Spring Hill Suites Invitational with a 2-2 record after falling to eighth-ranked Southwest Minnesota State in straight sets (17-25, 17-25, 17-25).
SWMS showed their hitting prowess hitting .284 and outscored the Rangers 55-33. Senior Maggie Workman and junior Kerry Grady each had eight kills to pace the Rangers who hit just .118 for the match.
Sophomore Cassidee Young had a team-high 16 digs but managed just two blocks in the match.
Regis will return home to play in the most prestigous Division II tournament in the country. Regis and Metro State will co-host the Colorado Premier Challenge where 9 of the 12 teams were ranked in the preseason top 25 poll.
