Rangers Conclude Regular Season with 3-1 Victory Over Chadron State; RMAC Tournament Next Up

Chadron, Neb.: The Regis Ranger volleyball team finished their regular season riding a four-match winning streak, including a 3-1 win (25-16, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19) over Chadron State Saturday night in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action.

Defensively the Rangers limited the Eagles to a .073 hitting percentage, had eight blocks and 93 digs.   Three Rangers tallied double digits in kills led by sophomore outside hitter Jessica Howe's 15 kills.  Senior middle hitter Liz Franz and sophomore right side hitter Kerry Grady tallied 13 and 12 kills respectively. 

Regis (16-11, 12-7 RMAC) had five in double figure digs led by senior Nia Ingram and freshman Cassidee Young's 16 digs apiece.  Sophomore Sarah Keiter had 14 digs and Devin Eckhardt notched her 10th double-double of the season with 12 digs and 47 assists.  Senior Hannah Tautolo and junior Maggie Workman chipped in with nine and eight digs respectively.  Freshman middle hitter Liz Kann led the Rangers at the net defensively with five blocks.

Chadron State (3-26, 1-18 RMAC) was led by Elizabeth Most's 11 kills and 10 digs.  Jennifer Luatua had a match-high 29 digs for the Eagles.

Regis will now play in the RMAC postseason as the fifth seed.  The tournament will be held at Nebraska-Kearney Nov. 14-16.
