Rangers Run Past Colorado Christian in Three Sets; Final Home Match on Saturday
Denver, Colo.: On a night when scary monsters and tricks are the norm, neither was the case for the Regis volleyball team. They dispensed of Colorado Christian in three sets, 25-19, 25-18, 25-14 in front of a cast of characters.
Regis (13-11, 9-7 RMAC) limited the Cougars to a .040 hitting percentage while boasting a .248 hitting percentage of their own. Senior middle hitter Liz Franz and sophomore outside hitter Jessica Howe led the Rangers with 10 kills apiece. Freshman middle hitter Liz Kann was just one kills shy of her career-high, as she tallied eight tonight. Sophomores Kerry Grady and Devin Ekchardt chipped in with five each.
Eckhardt notched her eighth double-double of the season with 12 digs and 31 assists to pace the Rangers. Senior Kristin Thompson recorded seven while senior Nia Ingram and freshman Cassidee Young each tallied six.
Colorado Christian (7-20, 2-14 RMAC) was led by Tina Nance and Cassie Schott's six kills apiece.
Regis will finish its home portion of the schedule as they host UC-Colorado Springs on Saturday beginning at 7 PM at the Regis Fieldhouse.
