Franz Earns First Team All-Academic Honors
Colorado Springs, Colo.: Regis University's Liz Franz was named
All-Academic First Team. The announcement came from the conference
office in Colorado Springs, Colo. late yesterday afternoon.
Franz (Jr., Littleton, Colo.) is a business marketing major with a
cumulative grade point average of 3.33. This season she was a
Preseason All-RMAC selection for the Rangers.
She is currently 8th in the RMAC in hitting percentage (.305) and
10th in points (311.0). Franz has amassed 249 kills on the season,
averaging 3.07 per match. She is tied for first on the team with 24
service aces and is second in total blocks with 66 on the
season.
Fort Lewis' Nicole Schwab was named the 2007 RMAC Volleyball
Academic Player of the Year. A senior outside hitter for the
Skyhawks she has a 3.26 GPA as an accounting major.
Regis University is a member of NCAA Division II and competes in
the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).
