Rangers Pick Up First Win of the 2007 Season
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif.: The Rangers picked up their first win of
the season this morning against Cal State-Dominguez Hill. RU swept
the Toros 30-19, 30-23, 30-22.
The Rangers had three players in the double digits with kills.
Sarah Keiter (Fr., Arvada, Colo.) had 13 kills (13k-0e-18a), 13
digs and a .722 hitting percentage. Liz Franz (Jr., Littleton,
Colo.) had 12 kills (12k-1e-18a) and a .61l hitting percentage.
Meghan Meehan (So., Huntington Beach, Calif.) put up 10 kills.
Hannah Tautolo (Jr., Moreno Valley, Calif.) had the match-high digs
with 14.
The Rangers had a decisive lead in kills in the match with 48 to
the Toros 37. RU finished with a .368 hitting percentage overall
(48k-13e-95a).
The win brings the Rangers to 1-3, while Cal State-Dominguez Hills
falls to 0-3.
The Rangers will return home for the Colorado Premier Challenge
they are co-hosting with Metro. Their first game will be Friday,
August 31 at 3:30PM in the Regis Fieldhouse against Cal State-LA.
