Miller Scores Two Against Minnesota Duluth to Lift Rangers to 2-1

Denver, Colo.: Jordan Miller scored two goals, her third in three games, against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday in the Rangers' home opener to lift them to a 2-1 overall record. Regis defeated the Bulldogs of UMD 2-1. 

With just over six minutes remaining in the first half, Horn served the ball to Miller who unloaded sending the ball into the middle left side of the Bulldogs' net for Ranger goal number one. UMD's Abby Serreyn tied the game for Minnesota at the 67:23 mark when she was assisted by Becky Anderson.

With neither team able to score in regulation time, the game went into overtime. With three and a half minutes remaining in the first OT period, Miller struck again. After receiving the ball, she drew clear of all defenders to line up a clear shot at the Bulldog's goal. With the ball landing in the upper left hand corner of the net, Regis claimed a 2-1 victory.

Regis outshot UMD 24 to five while putting 13 shots on goal, six of which were by Miller. The Bulldogs had two SOG in the game.

Up next, Regis will face Minnesota State Mankato on the road on Sept. 10th. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
