Rangers Dominate Hawaii-Pacific but are Taken to Double Overtime in 1-0 Victory
Honolulu, Hawaii: The Regis Rangers dominated Hawaii-Pacific but had to get a late goal by junior Jordan Miller in double overtime to even their season record at 1-1 with a 1-0 victory. Regis fell to BYU-Hawaii 4-0 in the season opener but rebounded by outshooting the Warriors 17-3.
Warrior goalkeeper Carianne Makino stoned the Rangers with nine saves but couldn't stop Miller's first goal of the season off a pass over the top that Miller was able to chip in.
Miller had seven shots, four on goal, while newcomer sophomore Lauren Dorseiy-Spitz took three shots.
The Rangers return home for their home opener taking on Minnesota-Duluth at 1:00 p.m. at the Regis Match Pitch.
