Associate Athletic Director Ann Martin Tabbed as Next Regis Athletic Director
Regis University President Fr. Michael Sheeran, S.J. announced the hiring of Ann Martin as the next director of athletics. Martin replaces longtime Regis Athletic Director Barbara Schroeder who will be retiring in June. Martin has been on the Regis athletic administration staff since 2005.

Regis Women's Soccer Announces Former Ranger Kelly Labor as Graduate Assistant Coach
Regis University women's soccer coach JB Belzer announced that former Ranger Kelly Labor will join the coaching staff beginning in the fall. Labor was the RMAC Freshman of the Year in 2006 after leading the Rangers with 11 goals and eight assists.

Regis Women's Soccer Sign Six to National Letters of Intent for 2010 Season
After finishing the 2009 season 14-5-4 and 10-2-4 RMAC, the Regis women's soccer team looks to build on that record by signing six incoming freshman to National Letters of Intent. Head Coach J.B. Belzer announced Wednesday that Rachel McMahon, Meghan Stuart, Stephanie Davison, Rachel Powell, Alison Cahill, and CC Rinehart will play for Regis in the fall of 2010.

Regis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Hosts 1st Annual Gatorade Pong Tournament
On October 22nd, the Regis University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with CHOICES and SIC to host the first ever Gatorade Pong Tournament. With cooperative weather, great team costumes, a delicious BBQ and lots of swag, the tournament was an overall hit.

Rangers Place Four on NSCAA All-Central Region Teams
After finishing the season 14-5-4, the Rangers placed four players on the Division II All-Central Region Teams. Freshman Marissa Davis, sophomore Jordan Miller, and seniors Chelsea Reichard and Heidi Boersma all received honors.

Two Ranger Women's Soccer Student-Athletes Named to Daktronics All-Central Region Teams
RMAC Freshman of the Year Marissa Davis today was named to the Daktronics All-Central Region Women's Soccer First Team as voted on by Sports Information Directors from the Rocky Mountain Athletic and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conferences. Sophomore Jordan Miller was named to the second team.

Ranger Women's Soccer Season Comes to an End with a 2-1 Defeat at the Hands of Colorado Mines
The Regis University women's soccer team ended their season today in the first round of the NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament with a loss to Colorado Mines 2-1. Regis, making its second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament, ends the season with a 14-5-4 record.

Senior Heidi Boersma Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Distric VII Second Team
Senior defender Heidi Boersma was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII Second Team as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Boersma becomes the first Regis women's soccer player to earn this award.

Coach JB Belzer Gains 200th Career Win in Rangers' 1-0 Defeat Over Mesa State
Coach JB Belzer notched his 200th career win on Wednesday when the Rangers defeated Mesa State 1-0 at home in the RMAC post season first round. Belzer is now 200-84-16 in his career and has guided Regis to a 14-3-4 record so far this season.

Freshman Taylor White scored her first collegiate goal on Sunday to help lead the Rangers to a 2-2 tie in Denver to the No. 13 Fort Lewis College Skyhawks. Sophomore Kari Taylor also scored a goal in the match.

Rangers Snag 2-0 Victory Over UCCS While on the Road
The Rangers defeated UCCS 2-0 for their second win over the Mountain Lions in as many games. On Sunday, UCCS traveled to Regis where the Rangers grabbed a 3-1 victory before traveling to Colorado Springs on Wednesday to face the Mountain Lions once again. Rangers Fall 3-0 to No. 6 Metro State
After defeating Colorado Mines 1-0 on Wednesday, the Rangers fell 3-0 to the No. 6 Metro State Roadrunners while at Metro on Friday. While the entire first half went scorelss, Metro State was able to sneak in three goals in the second period to take the victory.

Rangers Place Six Players on RMAC All-Academic Teams
Six Rangers were placed on the 2009 Women's Soccer Rocky Moutain Athletic Conference All-Academic Teams the conference announced Thursday. For this recognition, a student-athlete must hold a 3.30 or higher GPA, be a starter or reserve, and have completed either two consecutive semesters or three quarters at his or her current institution.

Rangers Win Fifth Straight After 1-0 Defeat Over Colorado Mines
Being seated two slots behind Colorado Mines in the Central Regional Rankings, fifth and third, told nothing to the Rangers as they defeated Colorado Mines 1-0 on Wednesday in Golden for their fifth win in as many games. This streak began on Sept. 27th with a 2-1 defeat over Adams State in Alamosa and since this date, Regis has scored a total of 20 goals against their opponents.

After snagging a 3-0 victory over the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves on on Oct. 9th at home, the Rangers are ranked No. 5 in the Central Region (NCAA Poll) with a 9-2-2 overall record. Regis is 6-1-2 in the RMAC.

Ranger Women's Soccer Tabbed 23rd in Preseason NSCAA Poll
Heading in to the 2009 season, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has ranked Regis 23rd in their preseason women's soccer poll. The Rangers return 10 starters including RMAC Freshman of the Year Jordan Miller and all-region defender senior Heidi Boersma helping the Rangers to a 17-7 overall record.
