Rangers Snag 2-0 Victory Over UCCS While on the Road

Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Rangers defeated UCCS 2-0 for their second win over the Mountain Lions in as many games. On Sunday, UCCS traveled to Regis where the Rangers grabbed a 3-1 victory before the Rangers traveled to Colorado Springs on Wednesday to face the Mountain Lions once again. Chelsea Reichard and Marissa Davis each had a goal in the match.

Reichard put the Rangers up by one in the first half when she was assisted by Marissa Davis on her fourth goal of the season. This 1-0 lead extended into the second period until Davis scored a goal of her own widening it to 2-0. Kari Taylor's cross deflected off UCCS goalkeeper Kayla Millar to Davis who tapped the ball into the Mountain Lion's net.

This goal by Davis was the last of the game leading the Rangers to a 2-0 victory. Regis outshot UCCS 22 to ten in the matchup while placing eight shots on goal.

Sophomore net minder Rosie Campbell posted her sixth shutout of the season saving three shots playing all 90 minutes in goal.

On Sunday, the Rangers will face Fort Lewis College at the Regis Match Pitch in a conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
