#20 Rangers Fall for First Time This Season to #15 Minneosta State-Mankato 1-0
Denver, Colo.: Regis fell for their first time this season 1-0 to Minnesota State-Mankato at home on Sunday. While the Rangers outshot the Mavericks 21 to five, those attempts weren't enough to overcome Minnesota State.
Nearly the entire first half went by scoreless before Minnesota State's Brittany Henry snuck one past Rosie Campbell for the only goal of the game with less than two minutes remaining. Cassie Weik crossed to Henry from the left side into the middle where Henry placed the ball into lower right corner of the net.
Regis attempted nine shots in the second period to catch the Mavericks but were unable to do so falling 1-0.
Regis will face New Mexico Highlands in their first conference matchup on Sept. 11 at the Regis Match Pitch. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
