Rangers Fall in Second Round of RMAC Post Season Play
Denver, Colo.: Chelsea Reichard scored the Rangers' lone goal in their 5-1 loss to Metro State in the semifinal game of the RMAC Tournament on Friday at Metro.
Metro State (20-1-0) took a 1-0 lead at the 18:44 mark before extending it to 3-0 before the closing of the first half. The Roadrunners were able to extend their lead to four after the start of the second period before Regis (14-4-4) decreased it to three (4-1) at the 84:44 mark. Reichard was assisted by Heather Thomas and Taylor White on the goal.
Before the closing of the game, Metro State was able to score once more to snag a 5-1 victory over the Rangers.The Rangers outshot the Roadrunners 14 to 12 in the game while placing nine shots on goal. Metro State's goalkeepers were forced to make eight saves in the match.
