Regis Women's Soccer Announces Former Ranger Kelly Labor as Graduate Assistant Coach

Denver, Colo.: Regis University women's soccer coach JB Belzer announced that former Ranger Kelly Labor will join the coaching staff beginning in the fall.  Labor was the RMAC Freshman of the Year in 2006 after leading the Rangers with 11 goals and eight assists.

Labor, from Steamboat Springs, Colo., played one season at Regis and then transferred to NCAA Division I University of Nevada-Las Vegas where she played three seasons earning a spot on the Academic All-Mountain West Conference First Team.  She will graduate from UNLV this spring with a 3.51 GPA in Psychology.

Labor has coached at some prestigous soccer academies including the Regis Soccer Academy, Real Colorado and the Steamboat Springs Soccer Academy.

"Kelly will bring her passion for soccer to her new role as assistant coach with our nationally competitive program" states Belzer.  "Her unique experience as a player at both Division I and II will give great perspective to our players and will inspire them to reach beyond what they think possible."

 Belzer comments, "Coach Labor now comes full circle rejoining Regis University where she began her collegiate playing career as the 2006 RMAC Freshman of the Year.  I am excited to mentor her as she begins her collegiate coaching career."

Regis will be gunning for their third straight trip to the NCAA Division II Championships next fall.  Last season they were 14-5-4 including a trip to the First Round of the NCAA Tournament.
