Senior Heidi Boersma Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-Distric VII Second Team

Denver, Colo.: Senior defender Heidi Boersma was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII Second Team as voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).  Boersma becomes the first Regis women's soccer player to earn this award.

Boersma, from Littleton, Colo., has a 3.78 grade point average in Business Information Systems.  A three-year starter for Regis, Boersma has played in 57 matches.  She has helped lead the Rangers to a 38-21-3 record in her three seasons after transferring from Division I Villanova University.

She has scored two career goals and six assists all coming in 2007.  Boersma is a two-time First Team Academic All-RMAC selection and was named Second Team All-Central Region by both Daktronics and the NSCAA.  She has twice been named All-RMAC Second Team.
