Rangers Outshoot Grizzlies 26 to Ten for a 2-1 Victory on the Road
Alamosa, Colo.: After tying Fort Lewis College 3-3 on Friday, Regis defeated the Adams State Grizzlies 2-1 while on the road Sunday to bring them to a combined 6-2-2 record so far this season (3-1-2 RMAC). Katie Horn and Heather Thomas each had one goal in the matchup.
Adams State's Ashley Sales scored the first goal of the game at the 10:15 mark to give the Grizzlies (3-6, 1-5 RMAC) a 1-0 lead. Just over ten minutes later, the Rangers answered back.
Katie Horn scored her third goal of the game when Marissa Davis assisted her at the 20:48 mark to tie the game at one. Less than two minutes later (22:05) Heather Thomas scored her third goal of the game when Kari Taylor and Horn assisted her on the play. This goal would be the last goal of the game ending the game 2-1 in favor of Regis.
The Rangers outshot the Grizzlies 26 to ten while putting eight shots on goal in the match.
Regis will face Nebraska-Kearney in their next matchup on Oct. 2nd. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Regis Match Pitch.
