Rangers Even Out Record at 2-2 After Loss to Washburn

Denver, Colo.: The Rangers, now 2-2, fell today in their fourth game of the season to the Washburn University Lady Blues 1-0 at the Regis Match Pitch.

Both teams were fighting for field position until Washburn (2-1-1) broke through with just over 12 minutes left in the first half to score the first and only goal of the game. Danielle Ayala serviced a corner kick to Jessica Mainz who headed in the goal.

The Rangers outshot the Lady Blues 11 to 9 with seven of them being on goal.

Next, Regis will travel south to face CSU-Pueblo on Sept. 12 at 4:00 p.m.
