Women's Soccer Picked to Finish Fifth in Preseason Poll; Two Players Voted on to Preseason All-RMAC Team

Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Rocky Mountain Athletic conference announced yesterday that the Regis women's soccer team was voted in the preseason poll to finish fifth this upcoming season. The Rangers finished last season with a 5-7-0 RMAC record and 9-11-0 overall record after losing to the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in the first round of conference play. 

Fort Lewis, the defending champions, is picked to win the RMAC title again this season. Behind them voted to finish second is Metro State who was the regular season champions last year. Following Metro State in the preseason poll is Colorado Mines, CSU-Pueblo, Regis, Mesa State, New Mexico Highlands, Colorado Christian, Adams State, and UCCS who has a first-year program this season.

Junior Heidi Boersma and Senior Carter Cornett were both voted onto the preseason All-RMAC team. In 2007 Boersma had two goals and six assists and Cornett had 14 goals and one assist.
