Rangers Shut Out Fort Lewis to Clinch Second Seed for RMAC Tournament
Durango, Colo.: The Rangers shut out Fort Lewis 3-0 Sunday afternoon in Durango to clinch the second seed for the RMAC tournament.
The first goal scored by the Rangers came at the 10:42 mark when junior Heather Thomas was assisted by junior Lexi Tagen off a corner kick. Just over five minutes later Tagen scored the second goal of the game to increase the Rangers lead to two before the closing of the first half.
Senior Carter Cornett scored the last goal of the game at the 69:20 mark to make the final score 3-0 in favor of Regis.
Regis will play their next game when they compete in the RMAC tournament on Nov. 7 at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of #3 seed Colorado Mines and #6 seed Mesa State at Metro State.
