Alamosa, Colo.: The Ranger offense came to play on Sunday as they notched a season-high 21 goals in a 21-7 win over Adams State.
Regis (8-3, 4-1 RMAC) dominated from the opening draw and never looked back. The Rangers took over seven minutes to score when Hilary Duda scored and then two seconds later Emily Behr scored before Adams State (2-8, 1-5 RMAC) cut the lead in half just 12 seconds later. RU kept putting the pressure on and led 13-5 before scoring three goals in the last minute to take a 16-5 lead at half.
The Rangers had 32 shots total to just 13 for Adams State. The Rangers also had their way with draw controls garnering 24-of-the-30 total controls.
10 different Rangers scored led by four each from Duda and Erin Steiner, who came off the bench. Erin Todd and Emily Behr each tallied three goals with Behr assisting on three others. Katie Larson came off the bench to supply two goals.
Behr also led the team with five draw controls, while Todd had a season-best four draw controls. Tierra Romero paced the team with five ground balls. Gianna Lombardi had four saves to notch her eighth win of the season.
RU returns home to host nationally ranked Rollins on Friday before hosting RMAC-foe Fort Lewis on Sunday.
