Sierra Perrella Earns WILA Defensive Player of the Week

Alamosa, Colo.: Regis freshman Sierra Perrella earned the Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Defensive Player of the Week.  Perrella and the Rangers swept Fort Lewis and Colorado Mesa last weekend.

Perrella, from Novato, Calif., recorded seven ground balls and caused six turnovers, both team highs in the Rangers 18-17 and 13-8 victories last weekend.  She tallied a career-high five caused turnovers on Sunday against Colorado Mesa.

Perrella leads the Rangers with 22 caused turnovers and 38 ground balls.  She has also put in four goals and assisted on two others from her defensive position.

Perrella and the Rangers host #2 ranked Rollins College on Friday and Sunday.
