Regis University Women's Lacrosse Freshman Danica Cutshall Named to All-Rookie Team
Denver, Colo.: Regis women's lacrosse super-freshman Danica Cutshall was recently named to the Synapse Sports, formerly womenslacrosse.com, NCAA Division II All-Rookie Team.
The First Team All-WILA and Second Team All-South Region performer set Regis school records with 23 assists and 52 draw controls. She also led the team with 53 points while also scoring 30 goals from her midfield position. The Lakeville, Minn. native led the Rangers with eight free-position shots in 12 attempts.
Not only a great offensive player, Cutshall led the Rangers with 25 caused turnovers and was third with 24 ground balls. Cutshall was also just named unanimous First Team All-Western Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
Cutshall and the Rangers finished with the finest season in Regis history with a 12-2 overall record and a perfect 6-0 WILA record which earned them the WILA Championship. Regis earned votes in the final two IWLCA Top 15 polls.
