Ranger Lacrosse Drop Third Straight with 16-5 Loss to Pfeiffer
Misenheimer, N.C.: The Rangers ran into a buzzsaw as they fell to Pfeiffer 16-5 in NCAA women's lacrosse action. Pfeiffer scored eight of the first nine goals to improve to 4-1 overall dropping Regis to 0-3.
Regis did get 22 shots while Pfeiffer had 33. Regis did force Pfeiffer into 24 turnovers and led the Falcons with 13 draw controls compared to 10.
Junior Kelsi Goings led the way offensively for Regis with two goals scored. Freshmen Evelyn Pierrepont and Jessika Carlstrom and sophomore Carly Wagner each scored one goal for Regis. Goings, Wagner, junior Chani Taggart and senior Brittany Farniok each collected four ground balls.
Farniok tallied nine saves in goal for Regis playing all 60 minutes.
Regis will play one more game on the east coast as they take on Lees-McRae on Thursday.
