Ranger Women's Lacrosse Finds Offense in 17-5 Onslaught of Lee's McRae
Mooresville, N.C.: The Regis Rangers women's lacrosse team found their offensive stride in a 17-5 victory over Lees-McRae. Four separate players scored three goals apiece to break the Rangers early season three-game skid.
Regis (1-3) scored the first four goals of the game and 11 of the first 12 and led at halftime 13-3. Junior Kelsi Goings, sophomores AriAnna McDonald and Morgan Taylor and freshman Margaret Nahrup each tallied three goals to pace the Rangers. Sophomore Erin Dybus did a great job of distributing the ball with four assists while scoring two goals herself. Sophomore Evelyn Pierrepont also put two in the net helping the Rangers outshoot Lees-McRae (0-3) 31-17.
Senior Brittany Farniok allowed just two goals and saved five in earning her first victory of the season. Junior Erin Lewis came in at goalkeeper and stopped two shots allowing three.
Regis will next be action on March 19th as they host Colorado College at 3:00 p.m.
