Rangers Defeat Southern Connecticut State 18-5 in Sunny and Warm Florida
Winter Park, Fla.: The Ranger women's lacrosse team continued their winning ways with an 18-5 victory over Southern Connecticut State. The Rangers jumped out to a 9-1 lead and led 12-5 at halftime.
The Regis (5-1) held Southern Connecticut State scoreless in the second half and cruised to the 18-5 victory. The Rangers outshot the Owls 45-19 including 20-4 in the second half. Regis, the nations leader in caused turnovers, forced the Owls into 30 for the game.
Freshman Morgan Taylor scored a game-high five goals, while fellow freshman Kate Liddle had four goals. Freshman AriAnna McDonald and senior Julia Ostberg each tallied three goals for Regis.
Sophomore Chani Taggart forced a game-high four turnovers, while freshman Annie Bailey had a career-high 10 ground balls.
