Ranger Women's Lacrosse Scores 14 Goals in a Row to Earn 17-3 Victory over Seton Hill

Denver, Colo.: The Regis Ranger women's lacrosse team scored the last 14 goals of the game to break a 3-3 tie into a 17-3 victory over Seton Hill. 

Seton Hill (1-4) got on the board first just under 10 minutes into the game.  Regis (3-1) responded with two goals over a 44 second span the first by freshman Morgan Taylor and the second by sophomore Kelsi Goings.  Seton Hill tied the game with 12:27 remaining in the first half, but Regis again was up for the challenge when Regis leading goal scorer freshman Kate Liddle notched the first of her five goals 45 seconds later to go ahead 3-2.

Seton Hill scored the next goal to knot the game before the Rangers went on their scoring spree.  Liddle scored the game winner 13 seconds after Seton Hill scored their third and final goal of the game.  Regis scored six more times in the first half to take a 10-3 halftime lead.

Regis scored 16 seconds into the second half en route to seven more in that half and the 17-3 victory. 

Liddle's five goals was followed closely by fellow freshman Morgan Taylor's four goals.  Goings scored three goals for Regis, while senior Julia Ostberg and freshman AriAnna McDonald each tallied two goals.  McDonald led Regis with two assists; senior Ashley Beauchemin led the defense with five draw controls and four caused turnovers.  Liddle had four ground balls and led the Rangers with five caused turnovers.

Junior Brittany Farniok had six saves for her third win of the season.  Regis outshot the Griffins 38-16 in the game including 15-4 in the second half.
