Rangers Win Season Opener Over Fort Lewis 18-2
Denver, Colo.: The Regis Ranger women's lacrosse team scored six goals in the first eight and a half minutes and used stellar defense to win their season opener over Fort Lewis, who was playing their first collegiate lacrosse match, 18-2.
Regis (1-0) scored the first 12 goals before Fort Lewis was able to get on the board. Senior Julia Ostberg and freshman Kate Liddle each scored five goals for the Rangers, who outshot the Skyhawks (0-1) 35-8. Sophomore Kelsi Goings chipped in with four goals helping the Rangers to 28 shots on goal.
Fort Lewis got one goal each from Hallie Linnenkamp and Adrianne Dettler.
Regis will host Shippensburg on Wednesday, March 4th at 3 PM.
