Head Coach Paula Bauer has been the head coach of the Regis women's golf program since day one and now enters her 11th season in 2014-15. She guided the Rangers to a third place finish at the RMAC Championships in 2012-13 and a fourth place finish in 2013-14.
Bauer led the Rangers to another record breaking season as the team broke the 2012-13 team for lowest scoring average in a season. The Rangers combined for a 332.94 average compared to last season's team of 333.07. Since 2008-09 she has led the Rangers to a 24 stroke improvement in scoring average (357.06-332.94). Nicole Hulbert again earned First Team All-RMAC honors and was runner-up in three tournaments.
Nicole Hulbert was named First Team All-RMAC in 2012-13, while Lara Pocs earned third team. Bauer and the 2012-13 Rangers picked up a first in Regis history winning their first ever tournament with a victory at the Regis Spring Invite in commanding fashion. They defeated runner-up, Fort Hays State, by 46 strokes and set a school record with a 36-hole team total of 632.
Bauer and her Rangers enjoyed one their finest season in 2011-12. Late in the season the Rangers were ranked as high as eighth in the NCAA Division II Central Region rankings but unfortunately ended in ninth when the final rankings were released. The top eight teams were awarded a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
The Rangers broke the single season average scoring mark eclipsing it by nearly seven strokes on average. The women averaged 336.79 storkes per round while the 2010-11 team averaged 343.67.
Lara Pocs quaified for her third straight NCAA Tournament as an individual and for the first time in school history two Rangers were selected to compete. Freshman Nicole Hulbert also earned a spot. Pocs and Hulbert were both named to the All-RMAC Second Team.
For the first time in program history Regis was ranked in the NCAA Division II Central Region rankings when on April 1, 2010 the Rangers were ranked 12th and held that spot for the final three weeks of the 2009-10 season.
In 2010-11, the Rangers broke the school record for scoring average by posting a team average of 343.7 over 18 rounds compared to the 2009-10 team who previously held the record with a 347.9 average.
The Rangers also had another first in 2009-10 when freshman Lara Pocs qualified for the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament in the spring of 2010. Pocs became Bauer's second student-athlete to earn the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, doing so in 2009-10 and followed that up with a return trip to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament.
Bauer has coached the 2006-07 RMAC Freshman of the Year in
Cecilia Silfverskiold and RMAC Tournament MVP in 2009 in Alex
Semanko. Silfverskiold was also a two-time All-RMAC honoree.
Pocs is the Rangers first four-time All-RMAC honoree with
Hulbert earning it three times and Semanko twice.
