Pocs and Hulbert Earn Berths to NCAA Women's Golf Central Region Tournament

Indianapolis, Ind.: The Regis University women's golf team had their hopes of a NCAA Tournament berth dashed when Adams State catapulted past the Rangers in the last week of the season.  However, two individuals will represent the Rangers at next week's tournament.

The Central Region tournament will be held in Elephant Butte, N.M. at Sierra Del Rio Golf Course, May 6-8, and is hosted by RMAC-foe Western New Mexico.

Junior Lara Pocs and freshman Nicole Hulbert both earned bids to compete.  This marks the third straight season that Pocs has earned a spot, while with the addition of Hulbert marks the first time in Regis history two individuals have made it to the event.

Pocs, from Westminster, Colo., is second on the team with an 83.2 scoring average and had one top five finish and one other top 10 finish.  Pocs leads the team by beating 72.7 percent of all her competitors.  Hulbert leads the team with an 82.5 average and had four top five finishes.  She shot a season-low 75, once at the Regis Invite and again at the Maverick Spring Invite.
