Regis Women's Golf Opens RMAC/NSIC Crossover in Fourth Place

Omaha, Neb.:  The final tournament of the fall season for the Regis University women's golf team got off to a great start on Sunday with the Ranges sitting in fourth place after the first round of the RMAC/NSIC Crossover.

The Rangers carded a 330 and trails Augustana who carded a 316, while host Nebraska-Omaha shot a 321 and RMAC-foe CSU-Pueblo is in third place at 328.

The first round was called due to darkness with four players still remaining on the course.  These four players will finish their round on Monday morning and then the second round will begin with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m.

Junior Lara Pocs withstood long fairways, a little wind and slow play to a 78 and sits in fourth place.  The round took over 5 1/2 hours with a few holes having three separate groups waiting to tee off.

Freshman Nicole Hulbert and senior Alex Semanko each shot an 83 for Regis.  Freshman Ashley Karl completed the par 72, 6,152 yard course in 86 strokes, while fellow freshman Sara Shafer carded a 93.
