Rangers Freshman Lara Pocs Finishes Tied for 27th at NCAA Division II Central Regional
Freshman Lara Pocs had a fine showing at her first NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament held at The Jewel (72-6135). Pocs finished tied for 27th with a 54-hole total of 252.

Freshman Lara Pocs became the Rangers first women's golfer in school history to play a round in the NCAA Tournament. Pocs finished the first day tied for 26th shooting a 12-over 84 at The Jewel (72-6135).

Associate Athletic Director Ann Martin Tabbed as Next Regis Athletic Director
Regis University President Fr. Michael Sheeran, S.J. announced the hiring of Ann Martin as the next director of athletics. Martin replaces longtime Regis Athletic Director Barbara Schroeder who will be retiring in June. Martin has been on the Regis athletic administration staff since 2005.

Regis Freshman Lara Pocs Makes History by Earning a Spot at the Central/West Super Regional
History was made today when Regis freshman golfer Lara Pocs was named to the Central/West Super Regional NCAA Championships. It marks the first time in Regis women's golf history that anyone has qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Sophomore Alex Semanko carded a 5-over 76 to take individual medalist and help the Rangers to a second place finish at the Colorado Christian/Regis/Mesa State Triangular at Fox Hollow Golf Course (par 71-6,347 yards).

Regis Women's Golf Ties for Third at Quality Inn Spring Invite; Sophomore Alex Semanko Ties for Seventh
With the threat of impending weather on the western slope, the Quality Inn Spring Invite was shortened to just one day. The teams played all 36 holes on Monday rather than splitting up the 36 holes over Monday and Tuesday. When the weary golfers finished their rounds Regis wound up tied for third with Chadron State shooting a 749.

The Regis Ranger men's and women's golf teams are ranked in the most recent NCAA Central Region rankings. The Regis women crack the regional rankings for the first time in school history and are ranked 12th.

Ranger Women's Golf Opens up Spring Season with Sixth Place Finish at Mustang Invitational
The Regis women's golf team opened their spring season in an eight-team field at the Western New Mexico University Mustang Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Course (par 72-5802). Regis finished in sixth place with a combined 709 score.

Regis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Co-Hosts 1st Annual Gatorade Pong Tournament
On October 22nd, the Regis University Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) teamed up with CHOICES and SIC to host the first ever Gatorade Pong Tournament. With cooperative weather, great team costumes, a delicious BBQ and lots of swag, the tournament was an overall hit.

Ranger Women's Golf Ends Fall Season with Second Place Finish at Quality Inn Maverick Invite
The final round of the fall season wasn't the Rangers best but in a season of record breaking performances it was the finest season in the women's program history. Regis shot a 358 in the second round to follow up a 334 in the first round to finish second with a 692 to host Mesa State.

The Regis women’s golf team finished up the first round of the Quality Inn Maverick Invitational in second place just five strokes behind host Mesa State. The tournament, being played at Tiarra Rado Golf Course (71-5953) in Grand Junction, featured Regis, Mesa State, Adams State and Colorado Christian.

Freshman Lara Pocs Lead Ranger Women's Golf to Third Place Finish at Ranger Invitational/RMAC #3
Freshman Lara Pocs shot a 156, good for a tie for third, in leading the Rangers to a third place finish at the Ranger Invitational/RMAC #3. Regis was just one stroke behind affiliate RMAC member Montana State-Billings for second place after finishing with a 647 after a 320 on Monday and a 327 in round two.

The Regis women's golf team posted their best 18-hole score in program history with their 320 in the first round of the Ranger Invitational/RMAC Event #3. Regis stands in second place trailing Mesa State by just three strokes heading into tomorrow's final round.

Rangers Finish Second in Fort Hays State Invitational with Freshman Lara Pocs Finishing Fourth Overall
The Rangers finished second at the Fort Hays State Women's Invitational on Sept. 28th and 29th at the Smoky Hill Country Club in Hays, Kan. Regis had an overall team score of 713 with a 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 12th place finish. Winning the Invitational was the Fort Hays State Tigers who had an overall team score of 699.

After two days of battling the unseasonably cold and wet weather the Regis women's golf team and nine other teams finished the two rounds of the Thunder Wolf Invitational at Walking Stick Golf Course (72-6000). Regis finished in sixth place with a team total of 709.

The Regis University women's golf team shot another good round in the second round of the Grizzly Invitational/RMAC #1 tournament at the Cattails Golf Course (71-5836 yards). The Rangers which shot a 329 yesterday, carded a 339 in round two to finish in third place with an aggregate 668.

Regis University Women's Golf Head Coach Paula Bauer is very optimistic about her 2009-10 women's golf team. Her optimism showed today as the Rangers had one of their best rounds ever, in the first round of the Adams State Invitational. Regis is in 2nd place after shooting a combined 329.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its preseason women's golf poll. The Regis women were picked to finish fifth overall. Sophomore Alex Semanko was selected to the women's preseason all-conference team after finishing off a strong freshman season.
