Alex Semanko Leads Regis Women's Golf to a Second Place Finish at CCU/Mesa State/Regis Triangular
Lakewood, Colo.: Sophomore Alex Semanko carded a 5-over 76 to take individual medalist and help the Rangers to a second place finish at the Colorado Christian/Regis/Mesa State Triangular at Fox Hollow Golf Course (par 71-6,347 yards).
Semanko won by four shots over Mesa State's Jessica Berve while Berve and her teammates helped Mesa State to the team title wtih a combined 327 ahead of Regis' 340. Colorado Christian came in third place with a team score of 369.
Semanko shot a 39 on the front nine and a 37 on the back nine while junior Emily Einfeldt carded an 84 (41-43) to finish in a tie for sixth place. Freshman Lara Pocs and Erin Andres and junior Kacee Harris all finished with a 95 on the Rangers home course.
Regis, ranked 12th in the most recent NCAA Central Region rankings, will now head to Goodyear, Arizona to take part in the RMAC Championships at the Golf Club of Estrella.
