Rangers Freshman Lara Pocs Finishes Tied for 27th at NCAA Division II Central Regional
Lake City, Minn.: Freshman Lara Pocs had a fine showing at her first NCAA Division II Central Region Tournament held at The Jewel (72-6135). Pocs finished tied for 27th with a 54-hole total of 252.
Pocs had a first round score of 84 and then followed that up with an 85 before shooting her low round of the tournament of 83 in the final round. Pocs finished 10th amongst all other RMAC individuals in the three-round tournament.
Jill Preeshl of Upper Iowa was the individual medalist carding a 233. Augustana took home the team title just beating fellow RMAC school Western New Mexico 972 to 979.
Pocs finished the season leading the Rangers with an 83.6 scoring average, second best in school history.
The top three teams and the top three individuals not with a team advanced to the NCAA Division II Championships held in Mesa, Ariz. May 12-15.
