Ranger Women's Golf Posts Best Round in Program History; Currently in 2nd Place after 1st Round

Lakewood, Colo.: The Regis women's golf team posted their best 18-hole score in program history with their 320 in the first round of the Ranger Invitational/RMAC Event #3.  Regis stands in second place trailing Mesa State by just three strokes heading into tomorrow's final round.

Regis was led by sophomore Alex Semanko who shot a career-low 78 besting her previous low by two strokes.  Semanko is in third place after round one, just two strokes behind Jennifer Hlits of Mesa State.

Freshman Lara Pocs shot her second round under eighty this season with a 79 to tie for fourth who shot a tournament low 35 on the front nine.  Junior Emily Einfeldt is tied for 12th with an 81, while sophomore Haley Robinson is one stroke behind and tied for 15th.

Junior Kacee Harris shot her career-low with an 87 to tie for 29th.

Tomorrow's action will begin at 8:15 a.m. with a shotgun start.
