Ranger Women's Golf Finishes in Sixth Place at the Thunder Wolf Invitational

Pueblo, Colo.: After two days of battling the unseasonably cold and wet weather the Regis women's golf team and nine other teams finished the two rounds of the Thunder Wolf Invitational at Walking Stick Golf Course (72-6000).  Regis finished in sixth place with a team total of 709.

This event, also one of the four Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, was won by Mesa State as they shot a two-round total of 667.

Sophomore, preseason All-RMAC selection, Alex Semanko, tied for 12th shooting a 90 in the first round and exploding in the second round for an 82.  She tallied a 172, nine strokes behind tournament winner Kendall Martin of Adam State.

Freshman Lara Pocs (88-85) finished one stroke behind Semanko at 173 in 14th place.  Junior Emily Einfeldt (94-88) and sophomore Haley Robinson (92-90) each shot a 182 to tie for 30th place.  Junior Kacee Harris rounded out the Ranger scoring shooting a 96 in the first round and a 94 in the second round to card a 190 and finish in a tie for 39th.

Regis will take part in the Fort Hays Invitational in Fort Hays, Kan. on Monday and Tuesday September 28-29 on the Smoky Hill Country Club.
