Regis Women's Golf Picked Fifth in RMAC Preseason Poll; Sophomore Alex Semanko Named Preseason All-RMAC
Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released its preseason women's golf poll. The Regis women were picked to finish fifth overall. Sophomore Alex Semanko was selected to the women's preseason all-conference team after finishing off a strong freshman season.
Mesa State who finished fourth last season is tabbed to win the women's RMAC Championship followed by Western New Mexico.
Semanko led the Rangers with an 85.1 average last season. She finished in the top five in two tournaments and was named the RMAC Championships Most Valuable Golfer. Her low 36-hole total of 162 at the RMAC Championships, was the lowest round by any Ranger. Subsequently her second round score of 80 at the RMAC Championships tied for lowest round by any Ranger.
Also returning for the Rangers is sophomore Haley Robinson (86.6 average) and juniors Emily Einfeldt (88.8) and Kacee Harris (98.4). Freshman Lara Pocs and Erin Andres will look to make an immediate impact on the team.
