Regis University Women's Golf Finishes Third at Grizzly Invitational
Alamosa, Colo.: The Regis University women's golf team shot another good round in the second round of the Grizzly Invitational/RMAC #1 tournament at the Cattails Golf Course (71-5836 yards). The Rangers which shot a 329 yesterday, carded a 339 in round two to finish in third place with an aggregate 668.
Mesa State won the team title with a 637, while Montana St.-Billings finished just ahead of the Rangers with a 660.
Freshman Lara Pocs and sophomore Alex Semanko finished in a tie for ninth each shooting a 164. Pocs shot a 77 in the first round and an 87 in the second while Semanko had an 81 and an 83. Junior Emily Einfeldt (83-86) finished in 16th place with her two-round 169. Sophomore Haley Robinson was right behind Einfeldt in the 17th spot with an 88-83, 171 score. Junior Kacee Harris finished up the scoring with a 191 (93-98).
Nebraska-Kearney's Sara Wissing was the individual medalist with a two-round score of 153 (75-78).
Regis returns to action next Monday and Tuesday as they take part in the CSU-Pueblo Invitational/RMAC #2 at Walking Stick Golf Course.
