Rangers Place Third Place in Own Invitational; Alex Semanko Finishes Fifth Overall

Lakewood, Colo.: The Ranger women's golf team competed in their own invitational on Monday and Tuesday and after the 36-hole tournament, that took place at Fox Hollow Golf Course (72, 6295), the Rangers sat in third place.  Their 721 total was behind team champion Mesa State's 687 and Adams State's 698.

Ranger freshman Alex Semanko was the top finisher for the Rangers carding a 172 which included an 88 in the second round.  Her score was good for fifth place.  Fellow freshman Haley Robinson was just one stroke back at 173.  Her 82 in the second round was the low score for any Ranger in either round. 

Sophomore Emily Einfeldt shot an 87 on Tuesday, finishing with a 177 and in 10th place.  Senior Natalie Blackburn shot a 97 in round two and finished in 17th place shooting a 199.  Finally, sophomore Kacee Harris came in 18th place with a 209 total including a 98 over the final 18.

The Rangers are next in action on April 13-14 when they play in the Mest State Invite at the Redlands Mesa Golf Course in Grand Junction.
