Regis Women's Golf Ends Day One of Quality Inn Maverick Invite in Ninth Place
Grand Junction, Colo: The first day of the Quality Inn Maverick Invite is in the books and Regis University sits in ninth place. The meet, also labeled as RMAC Event #2, is one of four meets that all 10 RMAC golf teams are participating in. Regis as a team shot a 368 compared to Fort Hays State who shot a 331 to lead by two strokes over Western New Mexico.
Haley Robinson leads the way for the Rangers with 15-over 86 good for a tie for 17th. Sophomore Emily Einfeldt is next, shooting a 90 (+19) and is in a tie for 27th. Kiley Johansen of Fort Hays State leads the way with an 80 (+9).
The 10 teams will have one more round of play tomorrow in Grand Junction at Tiara-Rado Golf Course.
