Rangers in Third Place After Round One of Quality Inn Maverick Invite

Grand Junction, Colo.: The Ranger women's golf team shot their third best round (349) to place third after the first round of the Quality Inn Maverick Invite at the Golf Club at Redlands Mesa (72, 6452). Host Mesa State is currently in first shooting a 311, while Grand Canyon is second just eight shots behind the Mavericks.

Freshman Haley Robinson led the Rangers carding an eight-over 80 to place fifth overall. It is Robinson's career low and the season low for any Ranger. Fellow freshman Alex Semanko was next in 13th place shooting an 87. Sophomore Emily Einfeldt was next with a 90 tying for 15th, while sophomore Kacee Harris shot a 92 and senior Natalie Blackburn carding a 103 to place 20th and 30th respectively.

The final round will be played tomorrow morning.
