Ranger Women's Golf Shoots Best Score of the Season to Finish Third at Maverick Invite
Grand Junction, Colo.: The Ranger women's golf team finished with their best score of the 2008-09 season shooting a two-round aggregate score of 696 to finish third at the Maverick Invite at the Golf Club at Redlands Mesa (72-6452). Grand Canyon (648) took first in the team race while host Mesa State was second at 651.
Regis freshman Haley Robinson led the Rangers with a 166 which included a career-low 80 in the first round. Her 166 is her second best score of the season. Her 80 ties Emily Einfeldt for low 18 of the season for Regis.
Fellow freshman Alex Semanko was two shots back with a 168 which included her career-low round of 81 in round two. Robinson placed seventh while Semanko finished in eighth place. Sophomore Emily Einfeldt finished in 13th place carding a 174, while sophomore Kacee Harris shot a 191 to tie for 21st. Senior Natalie Blackburn finished up the Ranger scoring shooting a 199 finishing 28th.
Regis will now head to Buckeye, Ariz. for the season ending RMAC Championships. The two-round tournament begins April 18 at the Sundance Golf Club.
