Larson Named Academic All-Jesuit Honorable Mention

Regis University women's basketball player Kara Larson earned Academic All-Jesuit Honors this past week by the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities (AJCU) for her efforts on and off the court during the 2011-12 season.

A junior post, Larson has a 3.70 grade point average while studying biochemistry.  She has played in all 17 games this season, while starting in three.  She has hit on 24-of-62 from the field for a 38.7 percent average and 12-of-13 from the charity stripe for a team best 92.3 percent.  She has tallied 16 assists, 10 steals and three blocks while putting up 60 points and pulling down 47 rebounds.  Larson averages 2.8 rebounds and 3.5 points per game.
