Ranger Women’s Basketball Falls to Cowgirls 75-67

Las Vegas, N.M.:  The Ranger women's basketball team fell 75-67 to the Cowgirls of New Mexico Highlands Friday night.  Three Rangers put up double figures on the night.

Forward Tae'lor Purdy put up 19 points on the night, hitting on 7-of-15 from the field and 2-of-5 from long distance.  Purdy pulled down two rebounds and had one assist.

Forward Meghan Hollenga and guard Brandi Collins each collected 12 points for the Rangers.  Hollenga put up a 4-for-7 performance from the field and a 4-for-4 performance at the charity stripe.  She pulled down five rebounds while collecting two assists, three steals and two blocks.

Collins hit on 5-of-8 from the field and 2-of-5 from long distance.  She pulled down one rebound and tallied one assist.

Post Kari Ameling led the Rangers with six rebounds on the night.  She also tallied three assists and a 5-for-7 performance at the free throw line.

The Rangers will take on Western New Mexico University at 5:30 PM on Saturday, February 18th.
