Women’s Basketball Falls 54-39 to Warriors
Saint Paul, Minn.: The Rangers fell 54-39 to the Winona State Warriors Saturday in their second contest in the Concordia-St. Paul Tip Off Classic.
Forward Sarah Feeney led the Rangers with 13 points throughout the game, while forward Tae'lor Purdy tallied 11 for the women. The Rangers outshot the Warriors 71.4% to 66.7% on the free throw line, but it was not enough to clinch the win.
The women held on in the first half, finishing just three points behind Winona State; but the Warriors outscored them in the second half by twelve. The Rangers registered 32 rebounds and had eight steals on the night.
The Rangers will take on Newman University in the Catholic Schools Tournament on Friday, November 18th. The game will take place at 4:00 PM in Kansas City, Mo.
