Ranger Women's Basketball Selected to Finish Fourth in the RMAC East; Lauren Luebbe Selected Preseason All-RMAC East Division

Colorado Springs, Colo.: The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference today announced the women's basketball preseason poll. The Regis Rangers are picked by the 14 head coaches to finish in fourth place in the East Division and sixth overall.  Last season Regis finished 14-14 overall and 11-8 in conference action.

Fort Lewis is picked to repeat as conference champions after a 28-4 overall record and near perfect 18-1 RMAC mark.

Senior forward Lauren Luebbe was selected to the five-person All-East Division Team.  The Rochester, Minn. native is coming off a season cut short due to an injury will look to lead the Rangers back to the RMAC Tournament.  Luebbe was second on the Rangers averaging 10.7 points per game.  She was also second with 5.1 rebounds per game while hitting on 49 percent from the field.  She topped the Rangers from long distance hitting on 23-of-49 (46.9 percent).

Regis will begin their 2009-10 season with a November 2nd exhibition game at Northern Colorado in Greeley.
