Purdy's 18 Points are not Enough as the Rangers Succumb to Fort Lewis 81-65
Denver, Colo.: Tae'lor Purdy continued her double digit scoring streak with 18 points against Fort Lewis, but the Rangers were unable to grab the victory succumbing to the Skyhawks 81-65 on Saturday at the Regis Fieldhouse.
During the first half, the game was tied three times but Regis (3-3, 0-2 RMAC) was unable to grab the lead in the period. With 1:59 remaining in the first half, the Rangers went on a 7-0 run to trail by 14 at the break.
Regis came within nine twice in the second half but was unable to gain the lead eventually falling to the Skyhawks 81-65.
Leading the Rangers in scoring was Purdy followed by Salina Kuiper with ten points. Emily Kuipers dished out five assists in the game while pulling down seven rebounds for the Rangers. Kaitie Vader had four assists and Jacque Machesney followed with three as she also snagged three steals in the game.
Up next, the Rangers will face Mesa State in Grand Junction on Dec. 12th. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m.
