Rangers Fall for the First Time This Season with 60-51 Loss to Fort Hays State

Golden, Colo.: The Rangers fell in their first game this season to Fort Hays State on Saturday with a 60-51 loss to the Tigers in Golden. In Regis' final game of the Mines Thanksgiving Classic Salina Kuiper and Tae'lor Purdy both scored in double digits.

Kuiper led the Rangers in scoring with 18 points while Purdy scored ten. Jacque Machesney was close behind with nine. Emily Kuipers dished out three assists in the game followed by Kuiper and Machesney with two each. Machesney also sank 7-of-7 from the charity line. Chelsea Porter was 4-for-6.

Getting the offense going was the Ranger defense recording 11 steals with four players having two each.

Up next, the Rangers will face Adams State in their first conference matchup on Dec. 4th at the Regis Fieldhouse. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
