Emily Kuipers Named RMAC Player of the Week

Colorado Springs, Colo.: Senior Emily Kuipers was named the East Division RMAC Player of the Week the conference announced Monday. Kuipers recorded two consecutive double-doubles this past weekend as Regis defeated Abilene Christian University on Jan. 2nd (60-54) and Central State on Jan. 3rd (70-57).

In Regis' defeat over Abilene Christian, Kuipers totaled for 19 points (7-17 from the floor) and pulled down 14 rebounds. She sank 2-of-5 from deep and blocked one shot while sinking 3-of-4 free throws. 

The following night, Kuipers scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She was 4-of-14 from the floor, 2-of-4 from the three-point line, and 1-of-2 from the charity stripe. Along with all of this she snagged two steals for the Rangers.

In total, Kuipers scored 30 points (11-31 from the field), sank 4-of-9 from long distance, and sank 4-of-6 free throws.
