Tori Rogers joined the Regis University coaching staff as a graduate assistant while completing her accelerated nursing degree from Regis beginning in January 2012 and enters her second season as the pitching coach. A Native of Stilwell, Kan., Rogers had spent 2011 coaching youth softball and completing the prerequisites for nursing school.
Rogers graduated from Portland State in 2010 with her degree in Marketing and a minor in Spanish after transferring from University of New Mexico. She earned All Conference Scholar Athlete Awards in 2009 and 2010 and graduated with a 3.81 GPA. During the 2010 season, Rogers was voted a team captain by her teammates and continued her pitching success at Portland State being named Conference Pitcher of the Week two more times.
In 2009, she was named Second Team All Pacific Coast Softball Conference, led the Viking pitching staff with a 2.01 ERA and was named Conference Pitcher of the Week twice. Rogers pitching success helped the Vikings to a Conference Championship in 2009 and a bid to play in Regionals at Stanford University.
She played volleyball and swam on the swim team as well during high school. Rogers has one brother, Charles, who is a sophomore at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and is studying commercial music. Her parents, Russ and Janet Rogers, still live in Stilwell, Kansas and own a Hospice company.
