Five Regis Softball Student-Athletes Named to All-RMAC Academic Teams

Colorado Springs, Colo.: Nikki Haberkorn and Shannon Massine were both named to the Academic All-RMAC Second Team, while three others were named to the honor roll.

Haberkorn, from Denver, Colo., has earned second team honors two years in a row and will graduate in May with a degree in business.  Heading into the spring semester she had a 3.49 cumulative grade point average.  She leads the team with nine victories and a 4.90 ERA.

Massine, a junior, has a 3.61 GPA in biology and is fourth on the team with a .328 batting average.  She is third on the team with 27 runs scored after last season being named to the All-RMAC Academic Honor Roll.  She leads the team with nine sacrifice hits, which is second most in the RMAC.

Three others, sophomore Shelby Weiman, junior Michaela Carbonneau and senior Maegan Cooley  each were named to the honor roll.

Weiman, the Rangers catcher, is undecided on a major and has a 3.63 GPA.  The Utica, Neb. native has played in 26 games, making 22 starts.

Carbonneau is a utility player from Bedford, N.H. and has a 3.77 grade point average in education.  

Cooley has moved from the outfield to play first base in her final season as a Ranger.  The Phoenix, Ariz. native has a 3.77 GPA in business and has played in 38 games while making 37 starts.
